    Anyone in the world
Currently, people cannot imagine their day without using such social networking, like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tinder that redefine their way of being, create a sense of belonging, and take time and efforts spent on other useful activities as reading, doing sports or walking. The advantage of social networking is that it provides with the necessary information, allows communicating without going out, and helps those people who feel difficulties in face-to-face communication. However, now, social media is regarded not only as a source of information but as a social evil and diseases that hit people’s mental health, emotional state, and psychological well-being. Not without a reason, specialists speak about social media addiction that kills time, allows forgetting their problems and living in a virtual reality, and makes people troubled and restless. Consequently, social media addiction is a modern serious issue and mental disease that affects especially young people and can be cured only with the help of the constant business with other activities like sports, books, face-to-face communication, and other actions not related to the virtual world. Literature Review According to the Center for Internet Addiction Recovery (2017), social media addiction is not a clinical diagnosis but psychological dependence that is characterized by the following signs: a constant thinking about any social network, a feeling of urgency to use social network, as well as the sense of anxiety, fear, and panic when there is no possibility to use social networking. Social media like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tinder are the main reasons for this addiction. According to Amedie (2015), social media leads to psychological and emotional problems as they foster superficial friendship and a false sense of online connections. In addition, social media is very addictive as they can lead to antisocial and immoral behaviors, diminish interpersonal skills, and take away personal time, family, and real friends. Thus, the issue is not only in it but in an inability of individuals to resist addiction that is provoked by the constant surfing. According to Heyman (2013), addiction is a disorder that is not beneficial when it is long-lasting. Moreover, addiction is the unity of choices done according to a quantitative choice principle. Social media addiction has many symptoms that help to define the degree of addictions and the ways of fighting against it. The main signs that prove this issue are isolation, no sense of time, dishonesty, feelings of guilt, and euphoric feelings while using social media, as well as fury and anxiety when there is no access to it together with depression (Kuss & Griffiths, 2017). According to Wisdom Post (2018), people are addicted to social media if the first thing what they do in the morning is surfing there. Moreover, they procrastinate and waste their time looking at nonsense. Furthermore, they check their social media accounts no matter where they are (Griffiths & Kuss, 2017). Social media addiction can be caused by health issues, the desire of people to compare themselves with others, peer pressure, stress, and fatigue, drop in productivity and distraction, and cyber bullying. According to Pantic (2014), social networking can cause low self-esteem, anxiety, and other depressive symptoms that prevent the application of social media from socialization in a real life and make isolated. Addiction is not the only problem of social media as there are many others. It makes users dependent on the number of likes and comments and provokes the individuals’ social media need in gratification. Furthermore, social media creates fake identities that allow people idealizing themselves, but they fail to work in a real life. Moreover, social media eliminates face-to-face communication as the individuals who are confident in social networks do not know how to behave in a real life (Subramanian, 2017). Finally, social media promotes procrastination and deprives persons of privacy. The main thing is that it is possible to cure social media addiction, and there are many ways how to do this. According to Waller (2016), it is a must to get a new hobby like reading, dancing, doing sports, or singing to replace social media surfing with something useful. Furthermore, it is necessary to limit oneself establishing the time boundaries and not to exceed them. It is also recommended to spend time with close people, families, and friends and pay much attention to face-to-face communication as it makes individuals happy and satisfied and less tending to use social media. Methods The methods used for this research are qualitative (analysis) and quantitative (survey and questionnaire). The main participants are 30 people aged between 12-32 who get the addiction survey and questionnaire to understand whether they have the symptoms of social media addiction. All of them are the users of such social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. The questionnaire contains 12 questions, and the positive answers on 9 of them will show that a person is social media addicted. The questions of both survey and interview are carefully planned and structured with the definite objectives. Moreover, they are built in such a way to understand the participants’ attitude toward social media and reveal a real scope of the problem. Findings The results of the survey have shown that 80% of participants are addicted to social media as they have at least two accounts in Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. In general, they spend to 10 hours in social media looking there every 30 minutes. Moreover, in general, they post to 5 posts per day. All participants explain that they access social media mostly in the morning, daytime, and night. All of them check social media before they get out of bed even when they feel that they can be late. Moreover, 95% state that checking their accounts is the last thing that they do before going to bed. They explain that they use social media for communicating, entertaining, following other people, and distracting from problems and negative mood. Nearly 90% of participants complain that social media have a negative impact on their relationships with family and partners as they deprive them of time for communicating with them and lead to quarrels. Only 50% of participants have admitted their social media addiction is a real problem for them. The results of the questionnaire have shown that 80% of people are social media addicted as they feel angry and frustrated when social networking sites are not available. Moreover, 50% of interviewed persons report that they have accounts in all social networks. The results of the questionnaire have shown that all stakeholders have more friends in social media rather than in a real life. In addition, 80% of participants report that it is more convenient and interesting to communicate with other people in social media rather than using face-to-face communication. Furthermore, 65% of respondents state that they try to hide their time spent from families and friends because they complain about their dependence on the virtual community. Analysis The obtained results prove that social media addiction is a real problem for many people. Therefore, it can become a dilemma for everybody if persons fail to be occupied with other activities and restrict time spent in social media. In addition, this research shows that most people are conscious of this issue in their life, but they do nothing to eradicate it. Thus, it is obvious that they need a qualified psychological aid that will help them to separate reality from a virtual surrounding. This research has also displayed that every person has at least some symptoms of social media addiction as it is not a normal phenomenon to start or finish one’s day from surfing in social media. The outcomes of this study prove that social media networking has the powerful tools that can influence and manipulate with intentions, actions, and emotions. Thus, the obtained results are objective and encourage specialists and expert to actions to save the population from the psychological disease. The latter one ruins their real life slowly and confidently. Finally, the obtained results prove that it is not necessary to underestimate this problem. In most cases, it is the disease of the young generation; therefore, it is a high time for saving them from a harmful impact. Conclusion In conclusion, social media addiction is a modern serious issue and mental disease that impacts especially young people whose psychics is not ready for resisting such negative influence and psychological dependence. The main symptoms of social media addiction are depression, anxiety, fear, fury, and desire to check social media accounts constantly. The main causes of social media addiction are emotional and psychological issues, real-life challenges, and the lack of face-to-face interaction or an ability to interact successfully in a real life. Thus, it is recommended to find a new hobby or interest that will fill the free time; and it can be sports doing, reading, singing or dancing. Furthermore, it is necessary to restrict the time used in social media and communicate more with close people, friends, and families as only they can provide psychological and emotional satisfaction. It is also recommended to use the psychological aid to cope with this problem.
